On 8 March 2023 we are introducing online programme forms for Performance Grades and digital ARSM diplomas. Instead of candidates showing a paper programme form to the camera at the start of the exam recording, the person submitting the video will enter the programme details online. Read our news story to find out how this will affect candidates and what you need to do. Find out more.
ARSM (Associate of the Royal Schools of Music)
ARSM is a performance-focused diploma for learners beyond Grade 8 level. Working towards an ARSM provides motivation, structure and feedback for developing musicians, and successful candidates can use the letters ARSM after their name.
Taking an ARSM performance diploma offers an opportunity to:
- develop and demonstrate performance skills, such as technique, control, interpretation, communication and delivery;
- explore new repertoire;
- create and perform an extended programme of music.
